Geocache Description:

Posted coordinates are a nice place to paddle, but are NOT the location of the cache. Get to the heart of the puzzle to obtain coordinates to the hidden container!



This is not a park & grab but the hike will be rewarding. Perhaps you'll encounter a fawn as we did when we placed it. Very little bushwacking is required. Off-street parking is available on Black Hut Road. We don't believe there is any closer legal parking or access without trespassing.

Per the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management's published hunting abstract, recreational users of Rhode Island state management areas are required to wear 200 square inches of solid daylight fluorescent orange from the second Saturday in September to the last day of February and the third Saturday in April to the last day in May, annually.

Dawn to dusk caching only. Cache is not in a stone wall and should be fairly snow friendly. Please leave the container anchored and simply unsnap the halves of the "camouflage" to get to the log. Coordinates averaged with a Garmin GPSr. Please sign the log(online finds without a corresponding physical log signature will be deleted)and rehide as found to prevent muggling. Don't forget to bring a pen!

To visit a cool feature near the cache, subtract .010 from the N coords and add .004 to the W coords. Please use caution near it, especially with kids or animals. Please no photos or description of this feature in your log.
