Spirit Quest - St. Mary of Guadalupe Cemetery.
The cache is located in the front corner of the cemetery on the boarder of the hedges. It is well way from any graves, it should be an fairly easy find especially with the use of the hint. As with any cemetery cache please be respectful of the grounds and any possible visitors or mourners that might not understand what we are doing. Limit your search to daylight hours only please.
In 1883 John May of Ridgefield, Washington donated this land to the church, which at the time was over 1 mile away from the cemetery. The first internment was that of John Connell on December 11 1860. The cemetery is still active today.
If your driving a regular car there is paved road into the cemetery which is the closest place to stop off the road to access the cache. If your driving a motorhome or towing a trailer please park in the gravel lot across the street and walk in. Gravel lot is located at N 45 49.614 W 122 40.983
While there are no posted hours, I ask that the cacher only search for this cache during daylight hours out of respect for the cemetery. While you are here please take your time and look around, and enjoy all of the history here, but remember to be respectful, since the cemetery is still active it is possible that there could be mourners or other visitors that might not understand what we are doing. The cache is NOT located near any graves.
Congratulations goes to happypanda007 & FettsBounty for Co-first to Find!!!!!
