This Cemetery was originally known as the Mt Zion IOOF Cemetery, but today the only posted name is La Center Cemetery. As of 2002 there were 836 internments, the cemetery is still active.
On a cache note, this cache was the only micro that I had ever replaced, but on 6-22-18 we reworked it some and it is now small lock n lock
While there are no posted hours, I ask that the cacher only search for this cache during daylight hours out of respect for the cemetery. While you are here please take your time and look around, and enjoy all of the history here, but remember to be respectful, since the cemetery is still active it is possible that there could be mourners or other visitors that might not understand what we are doing. The cache is NOT located near any graves, you are looking for a small lock n lock. .
