From time to time I like to commemorate strange and bizarre coincidences that occur in life with a special geocache. So here is the story. A couple of weeks ago as I was heading out for a day of caching I noticed Mr. Horse who lives in the pasture at the end of my drive was hanging out near his feed trough as usual. As he was trying to eat his breakfast a bunch of chickens were milling around and trying to get anything that fell out of his mouth. Mr. Horse took umbrage and decide to kick the chickens into the next county. He stepped back, lowered his head and made his charge. As he charged he kicked at the chickens. Luckily for them he kicked with his hind feet which were still ten feet away from the chickens and they escaped without a scratch. I thought that it was pretty funny. Kickin' Chicken; now that is a geocache title with some kick.
I have been thinking about getting a cache together and getting it placed, but I have been lazy. This afternoon I was strolling down the aisle in Tractor Supply and there it was "Kickin' Chicken" chicken food supplement for nice shiny feathers. I noticed that the chickens had better be laying golden eggs if they are going to buy much of this stuff-it is expensive! This is one of those coincidences that demand a cache so I got myself in gear and went and placed one. There is adequate roadside parking near the cache.
There is a George Washington $1 coin for FTF - Congratulations to Niwenomian for FTF
