L. M. Beerbower had a passion for steam engines. Back in the day he used to chuff around this Pinehurst neighborhood with his steam-powered tractor. The local residents became accustomed to the four steam whistles mounted atop the boiler. The story doesn't tell what the local cops thought about the tractor.
We hid our very first geocache in this park in 2007. We thought it is time to place a new cache to bring geocachers back to this little gem of a park. When searching for the cache, stay on the trail. There is a mini replica of the steam tractor near GZ kids can test-drive.
