A Newcastle Gem Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Onion11: Trail permanently closed, so I’ve removed the container and will archive due to limited access. The replacement trail runs parallel to old trail so I may eventually place a new cache along the new East Rail corridor.

Geocache Description:

Cache was placed during a rare basking-in-February-sunshine walk along the Lake Washington Trail to Newcastle Beach Park. It is a short steep hike up from the park, trail users can make a quick grab on the way by or there is space for 2 small cars across the street where it does not block the trail or bike lane.

Newcastle Beach Park is the place to be! Walk or bike from the Lake Washington Trail, exiting near GZ, and continue down the hill to find a tucked-away gem of a park. Build castles in the sand, walk around the loop, watch kite-surfers in the summer, picnic, throw the frisbee around...you can do it all at this park!

Stealth is a must on nice days...muggles galore when the sun comes out. Be aware that there are speedy two-wheeled muggles as well. The cache is placed with you in mind --no need to play chicken with any bicyclists during your hunt!

FTF- Congrats to Tobias & Petronella!
