Il Santuario della Madonna della Pace è raggiungibile da Nobiallo con una brevissima passeggiata percorrendo l'antica Via Regina e attraversando un magnifico ponte risalente alla metà del XIV secolo.
Il Santuario fu eretto nel 1658 in occasione della Pace dei Pirenei, firmata fra Francia e Spagna. Questa devozione è probabilmente dovuta al fatto che allora il Lario era sotto dominazione spagnola nelle cui armate militavano molti soldati comaschi.
A Nobiallo merita una visita il campanile della chiesa dei Santi Bartolomeo e Nicolò per la sua particolare inclinazione avvenuta durante i lavori di costruzione.
Proseguendo per l'antica Via Regina in circa 30 minuti si può raggiungere l'altra mia cache (GC5N34Z) posta al Sasso Rancio, per poi scendere di nuovo al lago ad Acquaseria dove si può prendere un autobus per tornare a Nobiallo.
The Sanctuary of Madonna della Pace is accessible from Nobiallo with a very short walk along the ancient Via Regina and through a magnificent bridge dating from the mid-fourteenth century.
The sanctuary was built in 1658 on the occasion of the Peace of the Pyrenees, signed between France and Spain. This devotion is probably due to the fact that being the Lario area under Spanish rule in its army militated many soldiers from the Como Lake.
In Nobiallo it is worth visiting the steeple of the church of St. Bartholomew and St. Nicholas for his particular inclination occurred during the construction works.
Continuing along the ancient Via Regina in about 30 minutes you can reach my other cache (GC5N34Z) placed at Sasso Rancio, and then arrive to the Como Lake at Acquaseria where you can take a bus back to Nobiallo.
