Geocache Description:


Michigan has two geographical areas. The Lower Peninsula, home of the Trolls; because they live below the bridge, and the Upper Peninsula, home of the Yoopers (derived from U.P.er's). The Mackinac Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Straits of Mackinac to connect the Upper and Lower peninsula of Michigan. Opened in 1957, the 8,614-foot bridge also called "Big Mac" and "Mighty Mac") is the world's 16th-longest in total suspension and the longest suspension bridge in the Western hemisphere.
