The wife and I were out in the desert today, conducting some Owner Maintenance on one of my other caches (GC3CF1M, Leaping Lizards!), when I decided to press on a little further and drop a new cache.
It is not too bad of a walk from the road to the hide location. Depending on the route you choose, you may cross some dry stream beds. The ground will be uneven, with thorns and loose rocks as an added obstacle.
When the cache was placed, I noted that we were exactly .5 miles from where we parked the car (in a straight line, that is). The view from up here is excellent, and we could still see the car parked alongside the Great Basin Highway (U. S. Route 93).
