Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to the top of Groot-Waboomkop, the highest point on Paarl Mountain at an elevation of 730m.

You can either drive or hike towards the cache, although the last few hundred meters can only be done on foot.

If you wish to drive, you can enter the nature reserve at S33° 43.962' E18° 56.549'. There is an entrance fee applicable per vehicle as well as per occupant. Start by making your way over to S33° 43.666' E18° 54.889'. Park somewhere around here and follow the road up the hill for about 350m until you reach the blocked off path on the left at S33° 43.519' E18° 54.953'. Follow this path for another 350m and you will finally reach Paarlberg beacon.

Use the same waypoints as above if you're hiking, although you can enter the reserve from the Afrikaanse Taalmonument as well. If beginning at the monument, just note that you'll need to pay for an entrance ticket as well as a deposit for a key to the gates.

The cache can be found about 16m NW of the beacon under a pile of rocks hidden beneath a grassy bush. Please hide the cache well after you're done.
