Geocache Description:

猫実の由来は、鎌倉時代に、大津波で大きな被害を受けた集落の人達が豊受神社付近に堤防を築き、その上に大きな松の木を植え、この松に根を波浪が越さないように願い、「根越さね」と言われた。それが「猫実」と称されるようになったと言われる。また、かつては猫真とも書いたほか、歌川広重による「名所江戸百景」には「根古ざね」とも書かれています。このあたりの景観は古くからの浦安が残る貴重な場所です。


Origin of Nekozane is, in Kamakura era, people of villages that received major damage in a large tsunami Dike near the rich 受神, Inc., and planted a big pine tree on it, the roots as waves is not scooped in this pine wishes, it was referred to as the "Ne scooped root". It is said to have come to be referred to as "Nekozane". In addition, once the other wrote both Nekoshin, the "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" by Hiroshige Utagawa it is also written as "Nekozane".Landscape of this area is a valuable place to old Urayasu remains.
