This cache is adjacent to the Little Sunflower River boat ramp on Dummy Line Road. It has a view of a display about Teddy Roosevelt's big bear hunt in the area years ago. The display is interesting, the picnic area is a good place to eat a sandwich, there are trails to hike, and camping is available. It is really great place to visit. I have sat out there and had a sack lunch on the bank of the river myself. I highly recommend it as a place to decompress.
I have seen flood waters out here probably 6 or 8 feet over the ground. The container itself is now on the main road. I haven't seen that road underwater, but it is possible. This is right along the banks of the little Sunflower River, so there are great breeding grounds for flying and crawling bloodsuckers. I saw signs of poison ivy, but you should not have to get into it to find the cache.
