I suggest we gather around 10 am at the pergola. Please bring with you your rubbish grabbers, gloves, rubbish bags, shoes and anything else you deem appropriate. I will bring the kayaks so we can look in the creek for floating rubbish too. There is usually a bit in the creek just out of reach.
I will bring some snags to cook on the BBQ at the pergola as well as some onions and bread. Maybe I'll even bring some sauce too. I'll ask that you bring some drinks for yourselves.
Kids are encouraged to attend and will be able to kayak on the creek after the clean up but you will need to provide life jackets for them as we dont have small ones.
I see the BBQ starting around 11.30am and the event to be over by 12.30pm. However this is subject to the amounts of rubish we find. I will see to the removal of any rubbish found that we can't place in the bins around the creek.
This is a beautiful area of Stanthorpe, last time we cleaned the other end of the creek so this time I thought we would do the parkrun end. There are several caches in the area that you can find if you haven't done so already.
