This series of 7 Geocaches will take you on a tour of some of the towns most iconic places. You can do one or all 7, all at once or over time, in any order you like. If you plan to seek all 7 caches, please record the number found at 4 of the Geocaches. You will require these numbers to complete the co-ordinates for the Mystery Series Finale 'Welcome to Maryborough #8 - Regional Park'. Of the 8 Geocaches, no 2 cache containers are the same.
Welcome to Lake Victoria
The beautiful Lake Victoria is surrounded by a recreation reserve, caravan park, an adventure playground, picnic-barbecue facilities and sports complex. It is bordered by Park Rd, Holyrood St, Burns St and Earl St. Adjacent is Princes Park which features a timber Rotunda built in 1904 for the towns Golden Jubilee.
There is no swimming in the Lake, however there is a great walking track and it is a great area for a spot of fishing, to feed the ducks, have a picnic and let the kids have a play.
This cache is a fairly easy find despite being a nano. GZ will have you at one of the best views of the Lake so please take the time to sit and soak in the beauty. If you can time your visit for Sunset, it is a stunning view. (I assume the same goes for Sunrise, however I'm not an early riser so can't vouch for that!)
Please be careful when replacing the log.
