Occasionally I see these old gates in places out of the way with corroded old locks on them and no indication someone has passed through in the last 10 years. I wonder where they keys have gone. Could be in my desk. There are keys I have no idea what they are for.
Variously called Gloria Road or La Gloria Road, this road extends between US 101 and Airline Highway CA SR 25, providing an alternate means between these main routes, to the north of Pinnacles National Park. There is no access to the Pinnacles from this road, please do not look for one.
The road is sandy for a long stretch, so this is not recommended for motorcycles, although dirt bikes should have no difficulty. At the time of cache placement the road had recently been graded and was in good condition. It can be steep and lose in sections, please drive slowly down hill and around curves.
Along the western stretch of the road are some very beautiful views.
Traffic along the road is light, though it does occur. Please park out of the middle of the road.
