But Pi Day THIS YEAR has EXTRA significance because, at EXACTLY 9:26:53 on Saturday, 14th March 2015, the 'mm-dd-yy' date format and time taken together represent the first 10 digits of Pi, namely: 3.141592653.
This is a unique and 'Once in a Lifetime' combination that only ever occurs once every century!

The ’Extended’ Value of Pi!
We’re organising this brief Pi Day Event because on this day we'll be 'Away from Home' staying with relatives in Evershot, ahead of attending a special family gathering in Cranborne later in the day, and want to ensure that we qualify for at least ONE of the Special Pi Day Souvenirs available for 'Qualifying FINDS' made on Saturday, 14th March!
Even though this event will only last an hour, we hope there will be cachers from the surrounding area [or like us, from further afield] who will want to come along to meet with other cachers, enjoy some geo-chat and qualify for a Pi Day souvenir.
THE EVENT will BEGIN at 9:00 am with everyone meeting at the published coordinates, which are outside the Post Office/Shop at 21 Fore Street in the middle of the village of Evershot.
A group photo will be taken at 9.15 am in a suitable location nearby, after which we’ll cross to the other side of the road, where attendees can, if they wish, enjoy some refreshments (tea/coffee, etc…) in the Acorn Inn and engage in further geo-chat.
There will be a FTF Draw for this EVENT at 09:26:53 ['Pi Time'] with the winner receiving a special, Limited Edition (1/75), 'unregistered' Pi-Day Compass Geocoin [see picture below]. The actual Prize Geocoin is marked #12/75.

The FTF Prize: 2015 'Pi-Day' Compass Geocoin Black Nickel XLE 75
The event will officially END at 10.00 am, as by then we will need to be getting ready to drive over to Cranborne, but if anyone wants to stay on longer that’s perfectly ok!
We look forward to meeting whoever turns up on the day!
NOTE: We have a large collection of Geocoins and TBs (550+!), and will have a few with us on the day, but we'll be happy to give all attendees a full list of tracking numbers so they can log 'discovered' on our FULL collection if they wish!

This is most of our Geocoin/TB Collection!
PI DAY Souvenirs
TWO ‘Pi Day’ Souvenirs are available for qualifying finds made on Saturday, 14th March 2015!
You will get one souvenir for logging ‘ATTENDED’ at this, or any other, Event; and a second, if you log a Mystery Cache FIND on the same day.
