Geocache Description:

Another in the series of caches being placed between Callala Bay and the Myola Spit

BICENTENNIAL PARK

The Aussie Barbeque is known by all.  Put a shrimp on the barby was the call

But today’s barby is much, much, more, with food and wine, now that’s the score

Bring out the games cause we’re first class.

With cricket and Bocce played on the grass.

Enjoy the place, and seek the cache. It is a bit small and you need to be tall

Unfold the log and write your name, another cache added to increase your fame

It’s not for numbers that we must race, but for the fun we have in the chase!

CONGRATULATIONS: To riverrunners for FTF and persistence shown to find it!! also for catching up with seaker200

Bicentennial Park is a great place to picnic. There are several covered tables and barbeques. You can walk up to the headland for great views. There is a nice rock ledge with a deep ocean channel (high tide) where you can start your snorkelling journey into the bay. Use the shared pathway on the headland to walk over to the boat ramp. Or go over the footbridge and walk around the corner to Callala Beach. Ride your bike right out to the Myola Spit at low tide.  Callala Creek is a great place for the geokiddies to explore or to swim in at high tide.
