A 'drive by' cache on the road between Strontian and Salen. This road passes through some glorious old oakwoods which are of international importance as they are all that remain of once large Atlantic Oak forests that covered large swaths of the west coast.
Parking is just along the road in the Forestry Commission carpark - we have another cache on this wee walk for you.
All our geocaches are named after dogs as the hairy spangle (spaniel) is an important if totally useless member of our team. This one is also named after HAL who apparently fulfills the description perfectly :) !!
PLEASE be carefull there are a couple of old bits of old fence wire sticking out of the ground near to GZ
