In 1997, a little cross-eyed kitten called Kiz entered the Smileydaze household. For some daft reason we thought it would be a good idea to bring her on a family picnic to this part of Ardarou Woods. She enjoyed the chicken sandwiches and exploring with the children, but then to our dismay, she disappeared. After much searching, true to geocaching style, she was found hiding down a dark hole. She was a true cache cat :) Sadly, in February 2015, after 18 years of fun and madness, Kiz passed away. She was a much loved family member, and it seems only right that this, the first cache we place, is dedicated to her.
The cache is in Ardarou Woods near Glenville. There is a short loop walk along the banks of the river Bride. There is also a small picnic area.
The cache is a small, camouflaged, tupperware container.
Be aware that this cache is placed near water, so keep a watchful eye on your little ones.
