About the location:
The FONTANA Hotel/Motel/Restaurant was the most famous Winter Texan gathering spot in the Valley during the 50's thru the 80's. In the late 80's it changed hands and with the advent of so many new restaurants and trailer parks the business fell off and the building fell into disrepair. It was condemned by the city and torn down in the mid 90's. It occupied a 6 acre plot of land that has now been cleared and the building torn down. The city keeps the entire plot mowed and the terrain is an easy go. Other than the grass and brush that will inevitably grow along the margins if it rains, the place is virtually terrain 1.5
