Breaking up is hard to do Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LostInAKMts: Beaver damage has compromised ground zero and is no longer a good place for a geocache.
Thanks

Geocache Description:

aka This winter sucks!!

I'm done with this winter of constant break up and rain.  Where's my six feet of snow, my frozen nostrils at 20 below, my never ending shoveling of the driveway, my post holing, and my sweet powder days in the backcountry.

The good news - geocaching is awesome this winter, so why not make the most of it.

The cache is hanging around just off the scenic Albert Loop trail accessed from the Eagle River Nature Center.  The trail is in pretty bad condition at this time but hopefully will be reconstructed soon.  You can either hike the whole three mile loop or access the cache from the north section of the loop.  The trail suffers from seasonal closures in the summer due to brown bear activity, so visit the Nature Center website or the physical cabin to see trail conditions. Be bear aware! Check out the sign posts for their claw marks and hair they've left behind. I like to collect the hair and tie flies with it to catch grayling and trout.   No cell service starting a few miles from the end of Eagle River road, except marginally along the open river sections.
