The house ruins are typical of small houses built around the turn of the 20th century. Like many similar homes, this one may have been abandoned during the great depression of the 1930s when many farmers left the land. Part of the trail is located on an abandoned woods road that provided access to the old house place.

House Ruins
Parking is available at Arabia Alliance Parking Lot on Klondike Road. Take the PATH Trail a short distance to the path leading to Vaughters' Farm barn. At the barn, take the north fork of the Meadow Loop Trail, marked by orange tipped guide posts. Proceed to the intersection with the House Ruins Trail . Take the trail, marked by white stripes on trailside trees, to the house ruins. The cache is located downhill from the ruins.
