Brooke Dockyard was set up in 1912 during the reign of Charles Brooke, the Second White Rajah of Sarawak, making it the oldest shipyard in Malaysia. Since then, a lot has happened to Brooke Dockyard. It has withstood the test of time amidst a fast changing business environment. Nevertheless, it is a Sarawakian heritage that has endeared the passage of time.
Brooke Dockyard the name is synonymous with the heritage and culture of Sarawak. From its humble beginnings at Market Street, Brooke Dockyard has embraced new challenges at Sejingkat yard near Senari port.
Obviously, Brooke Dockyard, being a centenarian has moved from traditional ship repairs to shipbuilding. It continues to achieve excellence notably in oil and gas offshore structure fabrication industry. As the cache container is small, please bring your own pen to log.
