Geocache Description:

Small pot a bit bigger than a film pot.

Parking for a couple of cars near footpath gate. A walk of less than 2.5 miles or 3 miles if you detour out to Bridge 79 and One for Frank E. Walk starts around a flat field with great views on a good day. You then climb down to the floor of an old quarry. After a short walk there is a climb up to the top of the impressive Ham Wood Viaduct. There is then a nice flat walk along the old Somerset and Dorset trackbed with a choice of tunnels to go through. The one you can see on approach is the shorter newer one. If you wish to do the Tunnel Vision cache you will have to deviate off to the left by the concrete base of the old signal box. You will then find a path that will take you through this longer darker tunnel. Shortly after leaving the tunnels you will arrive at Forum Lane by the remains of SAD bridge 78. Here you can go out and back along the track bed to the two caches between here and the Bath Road viaduct. Otherwise turn right and head downhill towards Bowlish. Part way down you will need to turn right up Rubble Lane that runs along the side of the equestrian centre at Rosamund Green Farm. Once at the top of the lane you will be back to your car. After finding this one head on to the end of the field. Here there are some very individual steps leading to the quarry floor.
