Church Micro 7351...Eastwood Traditional Geocache

An addition to the Church Micro series, but also an entry in the Nottinghamshire Geocachers March 2015 challenge which aims to place caches accessible to disabled geocachers.

This is my second Chuch Micro. Since moving house I've noticed there is a very blank spot on my map so have decided to fill it...will it turn into a smiley for you?

'Our Lady of Good Counsel' at the appropriately named Hilltop is a simple red brick Gothic church of late 19th Century date, occupying a prominant place in the townscape of Eastwood. In 1889 the present site was acquired and the presbytery was built, which opened in 1897. In 1935 a chapel was built off the south side of the church honouring the local Carthusians St John Houghton and St Robert Lawrence. The altar slab is medieval and was brought from nearby Beauvale Priory in 1942.
