It's time we get Hike & Seek back up and running at Highlands Hammock State Park! We're expanding on our geocaching program and publishing a hundred new geocaches including many new areas within the park boundaries. So, be sure to get your GPSr loaded up and ready for a big day of caching in this BEAUTIFUL State Park!
Highlands Hammock State Parks has plenty of camping options! Just be sure to make your reservations soon! If you reserve a campsite feel free to post your campsite number here. If camping isn't for you, there are a number of wonderful hotels in the area!
A FUN FILLED DAY OF EXCITEMENT:
9:00 AM - Kick off. Registration will begin, raffle tickets will start to be sold and the fun will begin.
5:00 PM - Dinner. We will have a pot luck type of dinner with the hamburgers, hot dogs (both beef and turkey) being supplied, and all side dishes broken down by the following (start of your caching name):
A-F -- Fruits or Veggies
G-L -- Side dishes (beans, potato salad, etc)
M-R -- Drinks (only 2 litre bottles please)
S-Z -- Chips or Dessert
***UPDATE*** We will have a special game throughout the day while you are out on the trails caching - The Amazing Race. This will be teams of up to 4 people and will start at 10 am. If you would like to participate please put a team together and message me with your team name.
Raffle - Local businesses and fellow geocachers have donated some awesome prizes! Tickets will be available throughout the day and the drawing itself will take place during DINNER.
Pets are allowed in the park and camping. However, they are NOT allowed on boardwalks (this is a park rule and prevents Rover from becoming gator-bait)
