Tall fence, an overpass just up the hill, and lots of signage combine to let you know that this is a major migration route for deer. It wasn't too many years ago that the fence and overpass weren't here, and carcasses would litter the road. It was a great draw for vultures and golden eagles that would eat the carrion.
