The state with the smallest land mass Admitted into the Union on May 29, 1790 making it the 13th state to join the Union. Walk, drive or ride along the shores and see the homes set high atop the hill side. We loved the area known as "Watch Hill". Don't be a chicken and do a little wind surfing off the coast, the waves are great for this activity. It is a breath taking little state.
