Geocache Description:

Step 5 Tower View.

This is cache No.9 on the Power Trail Series. The Power Trail is really a leisurely 3 mile circular walk down to Ironbridge Power Station and back up to Sunnyside via Dale End Park, this is the start point if you want to go downhill and finish uphill or alternatively park at Dale End if you want to go up and then down.

This series is in fact the first of three that interlock to form one larger circular. We are once again working with Severn Gorge Countryside Trust to place geocaches in woodland where the Trust has spent alot of time and effort putting in and upgrading footpaths and installing lots of new steps. The other Countyside Trust series we've placed have proved to be both popular and challenging at times and this triple series will be no different giving excellent views over countryside and the power station in the Severn Valley, lovely well maintained woodland walks and a great variation of gradients.

I was thinking of calling this cache "Home of Mole F.C" after seeing the pitch from the top of the steps. Good path following the river past the rowing club into Dale End Park, should still be firm underfoot even when it's underfoot of water.

Please note that like my other series the terrain ratings are my own and are based on the trail and not Geocaching guidelines, the higher the number the steeper the gradient, more difficult the terrain or the higher the probability that you may get hurt.
