The state of Virginia was the Tenth (X) state to be admitted into the Union On June 25, 1788 and the Capital is Richmond. It is still known as the Commonwealth of Virginia. Nicknames are ""The Mother of Presidents", "Old Dominion" and "Mother of States". The Commonwealth States were shaped by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Chesapeake Bay. I'm sure your Mother always had Three words for you.
