Geocache Description:

6pm until last to leave at the Cotton Mill, Newcastle under Lyme, on Thursday 26th March.  Large car park at the pub. There is also three hours free car parking at the nearby supermarket.

The topic for March is FTF and what do you keep in your kit bag. Bring your essential caching kit along and we can share ideas.

Stoke or Stafford – SOS – a monthly series of events, each with a theme and designed to allow cachers to help each other.  The events will be somewhere not too far from either Stoke or Stafford, or in between.

For March we are in Newcastle under Lyme, and hosted by JnK Fox (Jackie & Kris).

Timings:

JnK Fox will be there from 6pm till 10pm.

Our Venue:

The Cotton Mill, Newcastle Road, ST5 2GB, Tel 01782 454195

Food is served until 10pm and has WIFI, please note on your attending log if you wish to eat.

Situated on the Liverpool Road, the pub takes its name from Newcastle-under-Lyme’s early industry of hatting, silk and cotton mills.

Newcastle-under-Lyme:

Newcastle’s town features several parks including the 'Queen's Gardens' at the eastern end of Iron market, Grosvenor Gardens are in the centre of one of the town's roundabouts, hidden away below road level and The Queen Elizabeth Garden is located outside the town centre.

To the north west of the town centre is Brampton Park, home to the museum and art gallery. Newcastle has a market dating back to 1173 known as The Stones.

Stoke or Stafford – SOS – a monthly series of events, each with a theme and designed to allow cachers to help each other.  The events will be somewhere not too far from either Stoke or Stafford, or in between, and generally mid-week on different evenings to help ensure you can make some if not all of them.  Need help?  Other may do too – suggest a topic, propose a venue, or offer to be a host (hosts don’t have to know stuff – we have plenty of know-it-alls round here!)
