Boyd Lake State Park lies at the western-most edge of the plains at the foot of snow-capped Long's Peak and the mountains of the Continental Divide. Boyd Lake State Park has something for everyone: boating, fishing, camping, picnicking, swimming, hiking, biking, hunting, and yes even geocaching. Since this is our playground, who better than us to help when it is time to clean up the lake.

What we will bring:
Bags, buckets, and a bunch of them!
It would be great to fill every bag and bucket we bring. If you think about it, really we are just cleaning up an area for us to geocache. Let's get out there and show the community that geocachers want to give back. This is our time to shine.
What you will want to bring:
Sunscreen
Apply early and often. Protect those winter white legs when you put the hiking shorts on. If I don't see you putting on sunscreen, be warned you may get a lecture.
Water
Water bottle or hydration pack, just be sure to have something with water to start. There may be places to refill but never leave that up to chance.
Snacks
This event requires us all to do some cleaning. We will burn a lot of calories. Be sure you have enough fuel for it. I don't want to have to carry anyone.
Gloves
Since we are cleaning up trash, you will definitely want some gloves. We want to clean up but we still want to be safe.
