The cache is a 200m Sistema container placed at the start of the Lees Grove track in Wainuiomata.
Tracks.org.nz says:
The top section of this track is extremely steep, with roughhewn steps cut into the clay providing some assistance for negotiating the 60%+ gradient. As the track descends down a ridge and then into a valley, the gradient mellows to eventually become a gentle stroll through a pleasant bush-filled setting.
Fortunately, the cache is placed at the bottom end of the track, so is easy to access.
