Geocache Description:

This cache is a tribute to my close friend Darren Osborne (on the left), better known as Spindoc Bob who passed away in January 2015 after a 2 year battle with an aggressive reoccurring brain tumor. It is placed in the Lower Blue Mountains of NSW, which was an area that Darren loved to cache, amongst the sort of terrain that he preferred to explore and seek out his favourite type of cache container - ammo cans.

It is placed way out the end of BadMan Ridge with the BadMans blessing, though when he saw where I hid it, he called me a pussy and walked off into the bush muttering about wasting perfectly good skidmark-invoking hiding spots. (See, it can't be that hard to get to)

Unless you do something really wrong, it is neither dangerous to get to or to find and just a few paces further will bring you beside the pretty creek below, making it a peaceful spot to sit and reflect.

Darren always liked to wear caps, so I have placed a number of brand new caps in the cache, if you would like to swap, please no 2nd hand caps.

Even kids, with guidance could get to this spot with care, there are no tracks, and a couple of minor rocky sections to negotiate, it is very green out there right now but still a lot of blackened trees, so you will get dirty on the way in and out of this one.

If you have a memory of Darren you would like to share with us, please post that in your log.

If you would like to learn a bit more about Darren, you are welcome to watch the video that was shown at his funeral here: View The Video
