The Pirates Surf Life Saving Club has been in existence since 1928 and you can still see them practicing on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
This beach is also a popular surfing and bathing beach and you will find me surfing in front of the clubhouse at sunrise before work and early on Saturday mornings.
Bring a costume and towel and go for a dip after finding the cache, followed by hearty (but very cheap) breakfast or a cold beer...depending on the time of day!
