We have added this cache to our Uffmoor Amble series. It is in place of a now archived cache GCYG1R, which was a very special cache for us. It was the very first cache we looked for and also our first DNF! Although it looks that we never recorded that failure, in our defence we were obviously newbies and were using a Garmin satnav! We did manage to find it at the second attempt just over five years ago using the same GPSR.
The cache is hidden just off an established path and the rest of our Uffmoor Amble series was placed around this cache.
The wood is owned by the Woodland Trust and is carpetted by bluebells in the spring. The terrain can be very muddy and wellingtons are recommended throughout the year.
