I have thought about a small series in Crawcrook for quite some time and finally here it is. A collection of caches being click lock boxes, tubes, micro's (disguised) all with their own special 'creepy' something :-) Some contain a small pen, but not all so best bring your own, tweezers would also be recommended as the logs may get tight in their holder.
#8 cache is a small click lock box, please ensure all lids are closed securely and please replace where found and ensure the cache is out of muggle sight.
Parking is available as 'off street' at the posted co-ords should you be doing these 10 caches in numerical order and you will also pass 2 of my other caches previously placed on route but less 'creepy'. I noted that the stiles on route don't accomodate for small dogs so they may need a hitch up as no doggy holes to the side. A very small part of the cache route means walking along a small distance of road so be careful with dogs and children. You may also pass land where horses and livestock are so please use initiative and lead your dogs. So, abit about Crawcrook...within less than a mile of Crawcrook's main street and its residential areas, lies farmland and countryside, particularly to the west and north of the village. To the west of the village these include farmland and Sled Lane, with its woodland and ponds. Other notable features of Crawcrook's environment include its sand quarries which you will pass, these have partly encroached on some of its countryside.
Happy Caching!
