Night View of Mt. Tsukuba

Rice fields spread out in the south foot of Mt. Tsukuba. I have tried to take the photography of the night view several times. It was hard to know how it came out until developing when a film camera was used. A digital camera could show a image on site after taking long exposure time picture. However, there was the limitation of the bulb shutter time. I was also worried about the consumption of the battery while the shutter was opened. I knew that there was a camera with the function called the "live composite" when I looked at a homepage of the camera information in a net recently. Because it seemed to be interesting, I prepared a complete set and tried to take a nighht view photo. Unfortunately, I failed to take a nice photo because electric wires came out. But I reconsider that it is a nice photo to the geocaching.

Listed coordinates show a parking area when I took a photo below (Fig. 1). I walked away slightly with a tripod and the new digital camera. I put a geoache at the place where the camera was. Because the cache container is locked, you have to find the key which is placed between the parking area and the cache point.

You will find the locked cache container in a few minutes. Please refer to the google streetview image as attached in this page (Fig. 2) if you do not find it at there. The problem is whereabouts of the key. When I designed this at first, I expected the key was looked for leisurely in a rural scenery. However, metal theft cases seem to occur frequently in this area. If you stay there for a long time, you may be charged with metal theft. Therefore, I write down the whereabouts of the key in this page or a page to be able to trace from this page. After getting the whereabouts of the key, please go there and avoid staying for a long time. If somebody asks what you are doing, please answer sincerely. I wish you will enjoy the scenery of Tsukubasan over rice fields and don't run into any troubles.

The summary of the finding procedure is as follows.

1. Please get the information of the whereabouts of the key before going to GZ.
2. After arriving at there, please find the key.
3. Let's find the cache while referring to figures. Please open the cache using the key and do work. After that, please restore them as they are.

筑波山の夜景

筑波山の南麓は田んぼが広がっていて、ちょうど北側に筑波山が望めます。だいぶ以前に何度か星空の撮影に来たことがあるのですが、フィルムカメラだと現像するまでどのように写っているのか分からず、現像してみるとガッカリすることが多かったです。デジタルカメラを使うようになってからは撮影中は分からないのですが、撮影直後にモニターで確認できるようになりました。しかしモニターでは星の動きがよく分からなかったり、バルブの時間が限られていたり、電池の消耗が気になったりしました。最近ネットでライブコンポジットという機能をもったカメラの存在を知りました。面白そうなので一式そろえて試してみました。電池の消耗が気になるのはしかたないのですが、その場でモニターにできあがっていく様子が映しだされるのが素晴らしいと思いました。とりあえずの最初の一枚目は残念なことに電線が写りこんでしまい失敗しましたが、これはこれでジオキャッシングのネタで使えるかも、と思いました。

表示の座標は下の写真(Fig. 1)を撮るときに使った駐車スペースです。そこに車を置いて三脚とカメラを持って少し離れた場所で撮影しました。撮影場所にキャッシュコンテナを置きました。ただ、コンテナには鍵がかかっておりまして、その鍵は駐車スペースから撮影場所に移動するあいだのどこかに置きました。

コンテナはおそらくすんなり見つけることができると思います。分からない場合は現地でFig. 2に示すストリートビューの画像と照らしあわせてみてください。問題は鍵のありかです。この鍵を探すのに苦労すると思うのでD4.5に設定しています。あまり人が来ない場所と思っていたのですが、このあたりは金属窃盗事件が多発しているそうです。長時間滞在していると金属窃盗犯に間違われる可能性があります。なので、鍵のありかをこのページ、もしくはこのページからたどれる場所に記しておきます。鍵のありかを知ってから現地に訪れ、素早く作業を完了してください。鍵のありかは知らなくても現地で見つける自信のある方は挑戦されてもいいですが、くれぐれも長時間滞在することは避けてください。仮に問い詰められても、きちんと説明ができるよう心構えと準備をしておいてください。のんびりと田園越しの筑波山の風景を楽しんでいただけるかと思っていたのですが要ステルスで残念です。

まとめると次のようになります。

1. 現地に行く前に、このページ等から鍵のありかの情報を得る。
2. 現地に赴き、鍵を手に入れる。
3. 写真等を参考にキャッシュを見つけ鍵をあけて作業する。終了後は、キャッシュ一式を元通りきちんと戻してください。
