Geocache Description:

The Falcon Motor Corp. Detroit, Michigan 1927-1928

The Falcon-Knight was an American Automobile that was placed on the market by John North Willys as a companion car to the smaller Whippet Six and the Willys-Knight 70. The Willys-Overland Corporation officially took over the Falcon Motor Corp. in late 1928 and the Falcon Knight automobile was discontinued. A complete line of closed and open models made up the Falcon-Knight line. The Sedans, Coupes and Brougham were priced at $995.00 with $1,250.00 for the 1927 Falcon Knight Gray Ghost Roadster shown below.

The Falcon Knight Gray Ghost Roadster was the luxury car of the Falcon-Knight line with sporty wire wheels, special paint scheme and lots of chrome. A unique accessory available on the roadster was a special top to keep rain off the rumble seat passengers. Click on the image to the left to see this beautiful American Automobile full size!

Falcon-Knight two door and four sedans included the features of comfort and convenience essential in the American Automobile of modern late 1920s design. All of the Falcon-Knight automobiles were equipped with popular Knight sleeve valve engine. Learn more about the Falcon-Knight Sedans by viewing a 1927 Falcon-Knight Sales Brochure.

In the 1928 Falcon Knight advertisement above attention was given to the Knight engine. In the advertisement "A great change is now taking place in the automotive industry. Just as public preference turned the tide from high pressure to balloon tires for riding comfort, from two wheel to four wheel brakes for safety, from five to seven bearing crankshafts for smoothness. Today's experienced motorists are turning to the Knight engine for efficiency, power, permanent quietness and freedom from carbon annoyance and mechanical trouble".
