This is kind of tough as suburban hikes go (ha ha, actually very tough). There are a lot of routes, but no marked trails. And the routes are, shall we say, inefficient, indirect. The good news is that you can reach this cache with not a huge amount of bushwhacking. What can I say, this used to be easier, but brush likes to keep growing! But if you're doing truly hardcore brush wallowing, you're doing it wrong. Ducking around through ditches, sure (consider that a hint for one brief section), but serious thrashing isn't necessary or recommended, that is, unless you don't find the right way.
This used to be 3.5 difficulty, 4 terrain, and now it's 4x4. Sorry if I messed up your grid, but Badlands is more Bad than it was originally.
Watch out for poison oak (yes, you will come into contact with it), and crazed bikers. Also, ticks may be present, depending on the time of year; if ticks are active (typically springtime, and after rains), just plain skip this cache for a couple of months.
Geraldine Way is probably your best bet for a trailhead.
Congratulations to Psychoticjester for yet another FTF!
