My dad, Roy and I are always joking with each other. We both find that some of the funniest jokes are the ones that are played on ourselves. If one of us can get a funny jab on the other, we'll both be rolling.
Dad might see me setting by myself reading or watching TV and he'd say " there's my son Scott hanging out with all his friends" :)
But I always remember the "ugly" jokes the most. Sometimes he would introduce me to someone for the first time. "This is my eldest son Scott. When he was younger he was so ugly that we had to tie a pork chop around his neck just to get the dog to play with him" :)
Eventually I'd find an opening. " this is my dad. He wasn't hit with the ugly stick, he was beat to death with the entire tree" :)
I even came up with my own ugly joke for him. "My dad. Old as dirt, but twice as pretty" :)
