Pies have long been a tradition at our family gatherings. The variety changes by the season as well as the guest list, attempting to have pie offerings that appeal to everyone's palate. My personal favorite is the raisin cream pie that my mom used to make, but I also like fresh strawberry pie with whipped cream. My spouse prefers a cherry pie, though a chocolate pie would be a close second.
