" When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore. " I have always been fascinated by a full moon. So ... in honor of the grand 'ole Man in the Moon I have begun a series of caches that I will call The Many Moons. A new full moon cache will be hidden each month near the time of a full moon. Each cache will bear the Native American name of the full moon for the month that the cache is hidden.
The 9th hide of the Many Moons series is March ... The Sap Moon. This time of year marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begin. Some Native American tribes called this moon the Worm Moon as earthworms begin to reappear in the softening ground which invites the return of robins. You're looking for The Man in the Moon ... a small cache with room for a log only. There's ample parking nearby. Bring a scribble stick.
