Geocache Description:

Allison is a favourite family member, friend and caching buddy who's Grandmother was the caretaker of Cobb Cottage for a number of years. I'm sure she would love to share this beloved childhood haunt with others.

Cobb Cottage was moved here from it's original site after wind damage in 1975. Prior to the damage, it had been a two storey building. Peer in the windows, it is set with fitting furniture and accessories. If you're lucky you may catch the rare open day. the cottage now sits on the site where the Amberley School House once was. Take a walk along the heritage walk (footpath) with it's information boards showcasing Amberley's history. If you head through the park, there is a lovely bird aviary over the bridge and a playground for the mini cachers :)

We have placed this cache (our first!) in celebration of finding our 100th cache. Hoping coordinates are close, not great weather when checked. BYOPen
