This cache is in the Picayune Strand State Forest, which is geo-cacher friendly. Please park in the designated parking area. There is a $2 parking fee. Please feed the Iron Ranger. This area of the State Forest lands was spared from development, so I hope you will enjoy your hike through the old forest. Be aware of hunting seasons and wear the appropriate hunter's orange colors at that time. As always, CITO along the route.
Depending on the time of year you can be wading waist deep, or more -- but if you time it right, the trail will be dry!!! I have rated this cache accordingly! The elevation at the coords is one foot below sea level!!
At the coords listed, look for the red arrow. Follow the red arrows west to the second arrow. Go 7 Wench Paces farther west. Look to the left side of the trail for a plastic ammo can
Cache log is in the preform. Stamper log is separate! BYOP Please play fair and leave the stamper and the ink pad in the cache for the next letterbox fan. Also, if you take some SWAG, leave something of equal or better value. Thanks!
