The Rockin' Weather Station is a fabulous and easy way to tell the weather! It consists of a rock hanging from a tree (normally in a nice open area, but as this is for a geocache it is being naturally more stealthy). In order to tell the weather, simply observe the rock, and compare to the handy list below...
- If rock is wet: it is raining!
- If rock is white: it is snowing!
- If rock is dry: no precipitation!
- If rock is swaying: it is windy!
- If rock has a shadow: it is sunny!
- If rock is frosty: it is cold! (Potentially below 0!)
- If rock is gone: weather station closed.
The cache itself is being even more stealthy by hiding below the weather station. It's about 6 meters off the main trail - a small track may lead there, depending on the season. Hopefully not too hard to get through in summer!
