I have ridden and walked the Bungambrawatha Creek Trail many times and the last few times I have passed this way I think, that would be a good spot for a cache so that is what I did. I went ahead and made a collection of geocaches that you can find as you walk, ride, scoot or skate your way along this wonderful trail. Some are suitable for kids and some may be a bit tall or challenging so teamwork will be the key.
Bungambrawatha Creek Trail
The Bungambrawatha Creek Trail runs north/south through the city from Lavington to the Murray River.
This trail is sealed and almost entirely on the road but there are a number of road crossings, so take care to ensure the road is clear before you cross. The trail winds through Heathwood Park, Fredericks Park Regional Playground and the Albury Skate Bowl, leading you past the beautiful Albury Botanic Gardens and Albury Swim Centre, before joining the Wagirra Trail. The trail also connects to the Albury CBD where you can visit Albury's award winning LibraryMuseum or Art Gallery.
It's a relatively flat and easy ride with a number of great places to stop.
This is the fifth cache placed along this trail. We hope to have this trail run all the way from the start of the track to meet up with some of the other tracks in Albury. Most of the caches will be small and have a spot for small swaps and trackables. There are some other caches that are easily accessed along this path so feel free to take your time and enjoy the trip. This cache is a small sistema type container with a stubborn lid.
