Geocache Description:

A quick history lesson and a great spot enjoy the scenic Lost River! This is a solve-on-site puzzle allowing you to walk from the clues to the final hide, but why not stop and enjoy the park too?

The settlement of Bonanza began at what is now Big Springs Park. You should be standing near the westernmost edge of a footbridge, with two historical markers nearby. All clues are found on the markers.

The final hide is found at N 42 A.BCD W 121 E.FGH

Use the information to answer the clues below.

A = the day Bonanza was incorporated

B = the tens place of the year Bonanza was incorporated

C = the hundreds place of the year Bonanza was incorporated

D = the number of letters in the last name of the first settler east of the park

Get ready to do some math.

Bonanza is known as “The X Y” where X and Y are the number of letters in the two missing words in quotes.

E = 2X + Y

F = the total number of 8’s found in the dates Madaline Depuy was the Secretary/Treasurer

G = the number of the month Bonanza was incorporated minus one

H = the number of letters in the first name of the first official homesteader
