A Begining to a New Ending Traditional Cache

A new extension of the trail from the Fox River Marina which will eventually continue across Roberts rd to the north section. The county is putting in a roundabout at River and Roberts road intersection. Once the project is completed the trail will continue towards the north section of the Preserve. Bushwhacking is required to get to the cache. Depending on time of year, may require some wading though knee deep water! Fox River Marina F.P. closes at sunset no nighttime caching

The map provided was obtained from the L.C.F.P. offices in Libertyville, it is a F.P. Master Plan, currently there is no funding available to complete this project.

Parking is available in the summer months at the above parking lot adjacent to the Marina and is also where you will pickup the trailhead. In the winter months parking is only available at the main entrance to the Preserve/Marina.
