On a hot summer's day we were walking up to the lookout bench and discovered this shortcut where we did not have to dodge bicycles. It was hot and the path under the trees was a great relief. The water is cool and refreshing. It's a short walk from the parking. At the entrance to Jonkershoek there is a small fee payable to be able to walk in this section of the forest. Watch out for the bicycles. You can continue onwards and upwards to the Jonkers Lookout Bench (GC1VV3P), if you are brave enough..........
